Just me.

Just me.

Saturday 30 March 2013

Happy Easter to all!

I would like to share with you this beautiful thing I came across yesterday. If you like classical music, listen to this. The world premiere of the Fourth Symphony - 12 April, 2014 (by the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall).

Before the Darkness Smiles at my Confusion

When the end's approaching
all rules change
and
the boundaries between us vanish

In a short moment,
your warm hand
will become
only
a dim memory
and
your soft voice
will turn into
the coldest silence

All's temporary
all's brief
like the beautiful stories
of all heroes that let you down

Just two songs for tonight: this and then this, or the other way around - your choice.

About Not Letting Go

I always try to find
the tiniest bits of you
in those who cross my path

Unable to say goodbye to you
even if your holy bones
weathered by these six frosty winters
deny they're YOU
I'm consumed
by the never-ending process
of recreating everything
that was you

The lachrymose pillow
that broke down and wept with me
last night
when I told her
I'd forgotten your face
hardly raised her voice
above a whisper
to tell me she could see
even that minuscule scar
slightly below your left eyebrow
so clearly in my eyes

She made me smile
She understood
She's a friend

Have a lovely weekend, everyone! Listen to this if you want.

Thursday 21 March 2013

I truly think I spend most of my life in my head, imagining different things and scenarios. I'm always busy, work hard and do a lot of 'real' things, but I'm not too sure I'm always 100% there (even if I try). Perhaps my main life is just made-up, imaginary and unreal - I don't know, but I like it.

Sometimes your eyes
are too much to handle
Buried alive
and
carpeted
     with
         the six
              fallen
                   leaves
of his glance,
I can't ask your forgiveness

slashing Your Beautiful Kingdom
across the face
with these empty eyes
of my ill-conceived ideas
goes deeper:
straight to the core
of your joyful childhood
and unforgotten dreams

Unrelenting whipping of my little soul
another blank and another lie

I know the day's almost over, but happy World Poetry Day! Anyway, some of you live in the US, so it's certainly not too late for my American friends, for example... And here's something for your ears.

Wednesday 6 March 2013

I've been interested in silence for a while and I think it's hardly ever empty. Of course, it happens, but looking at people's actions and behaviour (people's meaning 'ours' as I'm not distancing myself from anything), it's pretty easy to conclude that there are so many kinds and meanings of silence far more important than words. I believe my inspiration was Pinter's "Old Times" (a lovely play, to my mind, but not amazing), which I'm going to see this weekend in his theatre. Also, you truly see so much more when you take photos of people (in a way, it makes you a voyeur in 'real' life), so you'd better beware: I'm watching you and your silence!

Multicoloured Silence

You are my silence
expressed through
your pause and stillness

I am
the unexpected gap
that confuses and enlightens you

You are
the painful and remote boundlessness
always returning to haunt me
when I try to fall asleep

I am
your oppressive nakedness
louder than the words
you use to cover it

You are
the power and frailty of my perception
bursting with your reckoning and my indecision

I am
quietly intense and undeterred you
behind the vibrant and vivacious
wall of our silence

I've been listening to this oldie quite a lot today and - remembering the lyrics so well -  I wasn't able to remain silent at all. Poor neighbours! Bless them. Oh, and I think that SO'C is the most beautiful woman in the world (in this video, not now, of course).
